Made in collaboration with Garett Nelson’s fine art practice, four beveled mirrors are mounted on three MDF panels in equal size. Beneath the mirrors sit three motifs screenprinted on punching tin, fixed by steel hardware with a mediary layer of raw foam. The motifs were derived from images sourced on the internet that conveyed notions of touch, reflection, separation, the “self”, and the “other”. Together, they correlate to the function of a piece that at once reflects and divides. Made as an edition of 6 with one Artist’s Proof.
